Co-occurring Enhanced Substance Abuse Treatment & Mental Health TreatmentSubstance Abuse Treatment Strategies for Change provides four separate opportunities for individuals and families needing Substance abuse treatment: Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient and Youth Substance abuse treatment. All services are provide on an outpatient basis and are ideal for those who require slightly less structure than a "live in" program. Clients attend programs based on their level of need and return home at the end of the day. Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient treatment are offered at both agency location. Youth treatment takes place on-site and at select school campuses. Co-Occurring Disorders Co-occurring Disorders refers to co-occurring substance use (abuse or dependence) and mental disorders. Clients said to have co-occurring disorders have one or more disorders relating to the use of alcohol and/or other drugs of abuse as well as one or more mental disorders. Integrated co-occurring disorders treatment reflects Strategies for Change longstanding concern for treating the whole person, and recognizes the importance of ensuring that entry into any one system can provide access to all needed systems. Mental Health All Strategies for Change clients are screened, assessed and offered the opportunity to be placed in an ideal modality to ensure his or her full emotional health needs are met while developing skills and support systems that foster health, wholeness and self-sufficiency so to mitigate the trauma associated with substance abuse and to ensure sobriety sustainability.
