Supervised & Therapeutic Visitation

Divorce, separation or custody issues can negatively contribute to an already troubled parenting history. Supervised visitation provides a neutral environment so that non-custodial parents can interact with their child(ren) and focus on re-establishing or enhancing their relationship.

Strategies for Change provides a monitored, safe and neutral environment for non-custodial parents to interact with their children. Strategies for Change staff ensures all rules of supervision are consistent with the court orders and adopted mediator recommendations are followed.

Strategies for Change also provides therapeutic visitation sessions, facilitated by a licensed mental health practitioner. Therapeutic visitation is not therapy, nor is it intended to take the place of therapy. Therapeutic visitation provides structured, interactive guidance on parent-child interaction, with a focus on positive bonding and practiced behavioral management.

All visitation session are documented and assessments are submitted to the court.

Registration and program orientation is required for all adult participants. Several documents are required prior to orientation. Participants are encouraged to consult with a Strategies for Change receptionist or Program Manager prior to orientation so that they may provide the necessary documents at orientation. Visitation sessions must be scheduled with the receptionist and fees are paid in advance.

Orientation is $20 per adult participant. Supervised visitation is $30 per session. Therapeutic visitation is $65 per session.  All visitation service fees are paid in cash or money order and in advance of each session. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice are $20.  Standard reports are free and therapeutic reports are $50. Strategies for Change court appearance fee is $60.
